Gawai Dayak

Tahun ini merupakan tahun ketiga aku tak sambut Gawai. Sedih kan. First time masuk ALAM dulu,tahun 2013, bulan June tengah final exam , tu la first time bergawai jauh dari rumah, jauh dari family. Pastu tahun 2014, tengah sailing pulak. Ngam ngam time 1 June tu kapal tengah buat SBM (Single Buoy Mooring) kat Bintulu, so ada la diorang Mooring Master dan Surveyor bawak makanan sikit. Walaupun sikit, tapi tetap bersyukur dapat makan (Time tu cook India. Hari-hari makan kari je).

So tahun ni, 2016. Pun tak dapat sambut lagi T.T Final exam pun da nak dekat. 10 hari je lagi. Sedih ya amat. Harap-harap next year boleh sambut dengan family.

Memandangkan aku sorang je yang sambut Gawai kat dalam kelas ni, so meh aku cerita sikit pasal Perayaan Gawai ni. Di Sarawak,perayaan ini dikenali sebagai Gawai Dayak dan di Sabah pulak, ia dikenali sebagai Tadau Kaamatan. Perayaan ni macam Tahun Baru Cina gak, macam tahun baru dalam bangsa kitorang la dan dalam bahasa melayu nya pulak, dipanggil Pesta Menuai sebab time ni kitorang baru habis menuai. Oh by the way, orang Indonesia kat Kalimantan pun sambut perayaan ni gak.

Pada malam 31 May, Gawai's Eve, semua orang akan berkumpul di Ruai , membawa makanan, kuih muih masing masing ,menanti tepat pukul 12 Malam. Selalunya pada malam itu, pertandingan Keling dan Kumang akan diadakan. Kumang ni ratu cantik gawai la and Keling tu untuk lelaki.

Tepat pukul 12 malam, Ai Pengayu akan dihidangkan. Mengikut kepercayaan orang dulu-dulu, Ai Pengayu ini adalah untuk panjang umur. Ai tu air and Pengayu tu panjang umur, so Air panjang umur la. 

Pada pagi 1 Jun pulak, perarakan Pun Ranyai akan berjalan.

Assalamualaikum and good day semua.

So entry kali ni hamba nak cerita sedikit pasal Broga Trail Run weekend haritu. Actually ni adalah trail run pertama hamba. So agak excited pada mulanya sebab tak pernah masuk sebelum ni. Hehe

20 March 2016 - Peserta memulakan larian seawal pukul 0700 pagi bermula dari Tesco Semenyih dan melalui kawasan kebun sehingga ke puncak Broga Hill, dan turun semula dan berlari ke Tesco Semenyih untuk ke garisan penamat.

Peserta yang menamatkan larian kurang dari 3 jam akan mendapat medal finisher.

Kami yang berjaya menghabiskan larian sejauh 14KM+.

Akhir sekali, setelah penat lelah menghabiskan larian. Kami ke rumah Muaz untuk menikmati juadah yang maknya sediakan untuk kami. Sedap ! Hehe

Weekend getaway!

Last weekend, we went to Datuk mountain which is located at Rembau, Negeri Sembilan. It just less than an hour  of driving from Alam. We started to move from Alam around 4:30 in the morning cause we plan to hike the 2900 ft mountain before sunrise and watch the sunrise at the peak. From the car park, we descend to the path down the stream , cross a bridge and walk through the trail which is the starting point. As it was 5 in the morning. Everything was so dark and yeah we were prepared with torchlights. Normally it takes 2 hours to reach the top, but we did it in an hour plus or less (Can't remember ) . As we hike higher, the wind is getting stronger to the extend that I almost flew off >.<

After a while, the path became slightly less steep and we can feel the refreshing breeze. And yeah the wind was stronger. At first, we thought that we won't make it to the top before sunrise but yay we made it in time! Finally , we reached the campsite which had a few ladders which enable us to climb the big boulders that dominate the peak of the mountain.

The ladder might look unsafe but it was not as scary as what you think.

These are some of the moment that we took after the sunrise. On the summit, we had quite a magnificient views and enjoy the cool breezes. Coming down was easy but physically my knees and leg muscles were so damn hurt! Plus I'm not wearing a proper shoes so I did slip and fall here and there. We enjoyed the hike which was short but struneous. It was a memorable moment. If you ever plan to hike Gunung Datuk, bring plenty water with you as the weather is getting hotter due to the El Nino phenomenon now. If you can't really stand the cold, bring sweater too and gloves. 

After the hike, my body was so damn hurt. Like really hurt eventhough I slept for the whole day after that. So , that night , we went to Gadek Hotspring which only located at Alor Gajah, Melaka. 

We went around 10 at night so it was quite chill and a really perfect time to go to hotspring! 

So that was my unplanned weekend which went really well after a long , tiring week of classes.

Sport month

Assalamualaikum and good day semua, entry kali ni nk share sikit pasal ALAM's Sport Month yang sedang berlansung.

Antara sukan yang Bravo mengambil tempat setakat post ini di taip, kita telah mengambil bahagian dalam sukan badminton, cross country, tarik tali, frisbee, dodgeball, and etc..

Tapi so far hanya badminton dan cross country sudah sampai penghujung, sukan-sukan lain masih dijalankan. Semoga berjaya !

Syukur dengan semangat pemain dan penyokong, kelas Bravo telah mendapat tempat kedua setelah tumpas melawan kumpulan KESURA, yang terdiri daripada staff-staff ALAM.

Walaupun Bravo tak mendapat mata dalam sukan ni, tapi semua berjaya menghabiskan sehingga ke penghujung. Yang penting semua happy and sihat. Good Job semua !

Sebagai classmate, hamba rasa sukan ini paling menampakkan semangat antara satu sama lain, tak dinafikan. 

Bagaimana dari permulaan Bravo tewas dan kemudian bangkit semula. Daripada berkata-kata hendak disqualified saja, terus bangkit dan berjaya ke final yang akan berlansung tak lama lagi. Respect semua !

The Shanghai Major Champion

Congratulations to Team Secret, winners of the second Dota 2 Major Championship. Having now appeared in consecutive Major Grand Finals, Secret advanced through the Upper Bracket with wins over OG and EG—each recent champions themselves—and a determined Team Liquid. Liquid would later defeat EG in the Lower Bracket Finals to set up a thrilling rematch in the Grand Finals, where Secret turned in a convincing 3-1 series win to claim first prize. After this championship showing in Shanghai, Secret fans must have their hopes set on similar celebrations in the future.

While there were amazing performances by all of the teams participating in the Shanghai Major, we recognize that the viewing experience and the overall execution of the event were very disappointing. Dota fans and professional players alike have high expectations for a Major event—expectations that we share—and it is ultimately our responsibility to make sure those expectations are met and exceeded. A Dota Major should be a celebration of the amazing community that shepherded the game from humble origins to the global passion it has become. Disappointment should come from the elimination of a favorite team in a hard-fought match, not from the experience of just trying to watch a game you love. With that in mind, we will be increasing our involvement moving forward to ensure that future events deliver a high-quality experience.

Masing-masing pasti ada bucket list sendiri kan? Sama la dengan hamba, kali ni hamba nak share bucket list untuk extreme punya sport hamba teringin nak buat  before umur 30. Tapi ini hanyalah sekadar bucket list, untuk merealisasikan.. hanya masa menentukan :)

Actually ni hanya impian nak buat semua ni. Tapi tengok lah nanti macam mana. Tak sempat before 30, kita buat lepas 30. Hahaha
