KEK LAPIS CADBURY

Ingredients: baking dish 9 "x 9"

  1. 450g butter
  2. 120g wheat flour (sifted)
  3. 220g icing sugar
  4. 10 eggs
  5. 100g Marie biscuits flour
  6. 65g of powder horlicks
  7. 50g milk powder (1 packet) 
  8. 300g sweet condesed milk
  9. 2 packets of Cadbury chocolate bar
  10. yellow dye - optional


How to bake it:

  1. Prepare the baking dish by greasing it with butter.
  2. Pound the butter and sugar until fluffy and creamy.
  3. Add in eggs one by one while mixing it slowly.
  4. Stir in the Marie biscuits flour, horlicks and wheat flour, coconut milk and solid milk little by little. mix it again until all of it is blended nicely together. Add in yellow coloring if desired.
  5. For the first layer or the base,


  • Take 7 tablespoon of the mixture and flatten it into the baking dish and bake it until medium brown color.
  • After the base is cooked,
  • Repeat the layers and place the chocolate pieces on every third layer.
  • Cool the cake before serving. Best way of cooling it is by leaving it out to cool by room temperature.


Note:


  1. Biscuits Marie is blended finely and sifted to get the flour texture.
  2. Milk and sugar may be reduced or added according to personal taste.
  3. Use high-quality butter to get good results.


How to layer the chocolates:

  • Bake the layer beforehand. Then placed the chocolate bars at random. cover the cooked layer (with the chocolate bar) with new batch of mixture then baked till cooked. 
  • Repeat the layers till done.
  • Each layer is cooked or grilled approximately 7-10 minutes.
  • Besides grilling the cake you can also steam it. The cake will be more moist if steamed. The duration for it to cook is more lengthy. *optional
