Here is my journey to Pulau Merak,Jakarta.

My Second Officer asked me if I wanted to take picture with Horsburgh but I think I take only the Horsburgh picture. Hehehe (act like I am shy XD)

 Its started to rain.

So far it’s a smooth voyage. Only ‘raining cats and dogs’,no squalls and no heavy weather.

After Anchoring and Port Clearance is settled, I get the chances to go shore with my Captain. He is Indonesian citizen was totally happy and welcoming us to Indonesia, especially me (Because this is my first time visit Indonesia).
We going to Cilegon City (the town of Pulau Merak).I was enjoying my shore leave as I do shopping a lot. Hehehe XD... We took ‘Angkutan Kota’(people there called it angkut for short form) or so called as taxi here in Malaysia but a bit similar to ‘Tuk-tuk’ in Thailand. We were crowdedly seated inside the ‘Angkutan Kota’ but it was an enjoyful experienced.
Here is the photos of ‘Angkutan Kota’

Here is the photos of Cilegon City. It is a small city with a crowded citizen. I can see people open up stalls on the side of the road. Let me share with you the scenery there.

It’s dinner time! My Captain treat me Indonesian cuisine. We ate in Makassar Restaurant.

I would reccomended 2 dishes name ‘rica-rica’(warning! It is hot & spicy dish) & ‘gurame’(Fried Fish but looks like the fish is flying as the presentation, they cut the fish like wings.) . Its famous there. You also can try it with ‘nasi uduk’ which is rice with a rare vegetable if you like to taste the local food.
