Guide To Become A Footballer For Dummies

"So in this post today, i would like to share a few tips on becoming a footballer. Depending on what position you choose, each have different duty and role."




GK

Goalkeeper or goalie is simply a man with gloves that prevent other team from scoring. His position is very special because the only player that can use hand in the game is the goalkeeper. The rule for the goalkeeper is very simple, you cannot hold the ball more than 6 seconds after you save the ball. You must kick out or in malay "tendang kuda" the ball to your own teammate. There are 4 main objectives of a goalkeeper : Saving, clearance, direct the defenses and distributing the ball. During the game, you as a goalkeeper must be able to communicate with your defenses because they are your first line of defence. During free kick also, you need to instruct you teammates to stand as a wall in front of the kicker. DEFENDERS

Fullbacks and Wingbacks are the defence positioned om both sides. They either classified as Leftback or Rightback. Basically they have two role in the team. First is to defend and the second one is joining the attack. When the opponent is attacking, fullbacks must be able to return to their position to defend. As a fullbacks, you must have high stamina and speed. The main role of fullback is to defend. But when the team is attacking, you can join the attack to support your team in attacking. Fullbacks and winger must have good communication and understanding as they are the attack team on each side whether from left or right. Example of best fullbacks is Marcelo from Brazil who is currently playing for Real Madrid.

Centerbacks are defender who defend at center of the line of defence. The main job and role is to prevent the opponent to have chances to score. A good defender usually have tough body and great height so that they can press their opponent or win a header when the opponent crossing the ball to the danger area. You also can support your teammate especially during corner kick or free kick because as a defender, you can give areal threat to your opponent. Example of best centreback in the world is Buqhari.

MIDFIELDERS

Defending Midfielders or Holding Midfielder is the one who do the dirty job in the team. As a defending midfielder you must have good stamina and tackling ability. Defending midfielder is the one who will be the first one to press the opponent and steal the ball from them. Beside that, defending midfielder also must be able to run from box to box. When attacking, the defending midfielder stay near to the center of the field as well as supporting attack party. This is because the defending midfielder will able to cover the denfence in case the attack party loses the ball to he opponent. One of the best holding midfielder is Claude Makelele.

Center midfielder is stationed at center of the field. He play both attack and defenses but more to offense duty. Center midfield must have good passing ability whether short pass or long pass. He also must have good vision in passing the ball. You as the central midfielder must kept the ball so that the team have a better possession of the ball compare to your opponent. The more possession your team had, the more confidence you gain in controlling the game. The opportunity to score also increase. The best midfielder in the world is Andrea Pirlo a gentleman from Italy.

Attacking midfielder is the one who organize the attack. He must be very creative in creating chances to the striker for scoring goals. Attacking midfielder usually small and very agile. They also must have good vision and passing skills. The most important for attacking midfielder is the creativity to create chances. After passing the ball to other, he must approach him to support him to receive the ball back.Example of best attacking midfielder is Juan Mata from Spain.

Last but not least for the midfielders is the winger. Their duty is to attack their opponent down the sides both left and right hand side. You must have good crossing ability and high speed. When attacking down the sides, you can choose whether you want to cut inside or crossing the ball depends on you coach instruction. Basically you must have good partnership with you fullback as their duty is to support you during the attack. Example of good winger is Eden Hazard.

ATTACKERS

There are several position for attack which are Central Forward, Striker, Target Man or Poacher. Each have special task based on coach instruction. For strikers, you must have good first touch and finishing ability. Your first priority is to scoring goals. Sometimes the striker also do defending job depending on your coach instruction. One of the best striker in the world is Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
