Have you been to Kuantan, Pahang but have no idea where to get delicious food? Today, I'm sharing with you 5 of best eateries there so you could try them out next time. So, it's going to be a very long post. And bear in mind that these are not in order of the ranking, ya!! Here goes.......
1. Restoran Lilawadi
They serve the best mango cheesecake evahhhh. Fuh fuh (wipe drools).

Ehem. Back to business. They actually serve steamboat and barbecue, as well as other delicious food that you really must try. I will not mention details on the steamboat because everyone knows what it is. But, whichever set you choose, please complete it with their cheesecakes. They have several other flavours but the mango one is to die for. Also, their pandan drinks.

You will also love their staff, they're really friendly and helpful. Sorry, no staff's photos, hehe. You can check out their website to get further info. Here's the link.

2. Restoran Mabiq or Restoran Sedap Wehhh.
If you love doing charity by putting food in your stomach, then, here is the place to eat. Especially to those who love kampung food and tempoyak. Yummeh. It is actually an orphanage based restaurant so, that is where parts of your money will go. Great deal, huh? Their most famous lauk here is the pais patin. It is actually part of ikan patin covered with spicy tempoyak grilled in banana leaves.

There are two Restoran Mabiq, one in Pantai Sepat and another is nearby Yayasan Pahang. Meanwhile, Restoran Sedap Wehh is their branch that is opened at Kuantan Bypass. As far as I know, only Restoran Sedap Wehh opens everyday, both during day and night. However at night, other types of food are served so you will not get the pais patin anymore. Meanwhile the other two open everyday except Friday, and only during the day.
3. Go'Bang Maju
Fine, I love tempoyak. So, here's another restaurant that serve ikan patin tempoyak. But the different here is, the ikan patin is cooked with gravy which we call, ikan patin gulai tempoyak. This restaurant is actually a newly branch out restaurant from its mother which located in Temerloh. This one located at Jalan Gambut, same building with Seasons View Hotel.

These are the standard servings for people of four. The fried ikan patin is also nice, and their drinks are great too. The only downside is their pais patin that is not so nice.
By the way, to be honest. If you are coming to Kuantan using the old road and happen to pass by an old looking eatery named SZ Rahmah nearby BHP petrol station in Paya Pulai, Temerloh, you should stop there and try their patin tempoyak. They serve the best one. Period.

4. Satay Zul
Ooooh so now we come to satayyyyy..
Who's here doesn't like perfectly grilled chicken satay and tender beef satay? Satay Zul also serves satay rusa and it is surprisingly delicious. The name Satay Zul may sound simple but their satay is the best in Kuantan, so far (for me). They have a few branches, but I prefer going to their terminal called TERMINAL SATAY ZUL at Jalan Teluk Sisek heading to Teluk Chempedak.

5. Mustafa Cendol
Last but not least for this episode, I bring to you, cendol. Well, Mustafa Cendol does not only serve cendol but there are other selections too. You should try them all. Besides cendol, I like their fried maggie and rojak too. Must try!!
Here's some photos for you to drool on. Hehehe.

On the way to Teluk Chempedak, why not you stop by here and enjoy some cendol and rojak. It is just next to Shell Petrol Station on the right side of the road heading to the beach.
Pen off for now. Until next time for the second part. Bye.
